Psalm 121
This is a Song of Ascents offering a profound exploration of faith and divine protection. The Psalmist looks to the hills, recognizing the creation and the greatness of the Creator.
The Psalm is an intimate prayer of trust, acknowledging that help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth where the Psalmist expresses absolute faith in God’s promise to protect him from all evil and keep his life.
Through every trial and tribulation, the Psalmist clings to God’s promise of perpetual preservation, drawing strength and comfort from His unceasing vigilance. This divine reassurance is a beacon of hope, inspiring us to tread life’s journey with faith and courage.
Verse 8, “The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
– In our times, especially here in Kenya where we have been having a series of misfortunes like road and air accidents plus now the prevailing floods, let us believe and trust in God’s perpetual preservation.
– ’Going out’ mostly is a military term where a soldier leaves the base for war. I pray that every day you will go out, fight and win all your battles in life and you will come back home safe and loaded with goodies.
